Yellow is not so mellow anymore! I see yellow clothing pieces everywhere this season, especially with jumpsuits! Not only is yellow a fun, vintage color, but paired with a jumpsuit, it creates the perfect summer outfit! Here are a couple of my favorites that I’ve found on the internet!
ASOS has definitely got the ‘it’ look. The floral pattern is perfect for this season, and the ruffled texture on the shoulders is the perfect look for this idea. I like that this piece shows off figure on top but is a little looser on the bottom.
I love this slouchy jumpsuit from Forever 21! It can be dressed up or down depending on the shoes/jewelry combo you could wear with it. I could even see it as a great cover-up for the beach! I would definitely get a lot of wear out of this one since it looks so comfy!
Lastly, Showpo has a great yellow jumpsuit with a classic cut at the waist and bold stripes. This would be perfect for a summer wedding, a date night, or even going on vacation! It’s so flattering where it ties and I would definitely recommend!
Those are all my suggestions for today, folks! If you’re interested in any of these options, the link is under the name of the brand. As always, thanks for reading and happy August!
Um can we talk about this summer heat wave or what?! I just gotta say I’m so thankful for summer thunderstorms to cool me down. I’m also super thankful for stylish summer outfits that are perfect for going out or even the work environment (depending on the jeans rule of course;) ). Oh do I have an outfit for you!
First things first: this is one of my favorite tops in my summer wardrobe. I wear it a lot when I have to look nice at special events for work (I am a House Manager for a Summer Theatre and an Events Technician for campus events). It also serves as a great outfit for church and grabbing dinner on a date night! I originally got my top from Spring Sweet, a super cute boutique shop in Holland, Michigan. The brand is Current Air, and they have the top online to check out! I highly recommend. (Note: The top was half the price that it shows online at Spring Sweet at their full price.)
My jeans are from Urban Found, another cute boutique store in Holland, but there are tons of cute fringe pants out there! A pair that I really like is from Top Shop, and they have a high waist too! They’re perfect for crop tops and tucking things in if needed.
Lastly, my wedges are from Old Navy. I wear them almost every day to work because they are super comfortable and affordable! I have super high arches and a lot of shoes usually hurt my feet when I walk in them all day… but these are perfect!
Thanks for checking out this cute, semi-professional outfit! I’m so glad you stopped by. 🙂
Here’s what’s in store today: roses, roses, and more roses. Again, this is an outfit that I can feel really comfortable in but it’s dressy/casual and perfect for most day to day activities. I’m so excited to share it with you!
My bodysuit is from Hollister and although they don’t have it on their website anymore, I’ve got a couple of second options in other stores that I’ve linked below. I also found bodysuits with different backs just in case you were looking for some variety! I especially love white bodysuits as they can go with anything and they’re a great wardrobe staple.
My skort is from Zara, and I was in love when I found it! I’m a huge fan of feeling like what I’m wearing will not fly up when I’m just walking around haha. It’s super comfortable and so unique!
Lastly, I found my loafers at an antique barn, and they’re most likely from the 50’s or 60’s. Luckily enough, I found a very similar pair on Lulus website and they’re super cute and affordable!
Well, that’s all for now folks! Thank you for giving this outfit a look, I’m so pumped for you to get some inspo! (Also pro tip, this ‘fit pairs perfectly with a denim jacket so have at it haha).
Yay, it’s finally July! I’m so glad we are in the midst of summer. It’s the perfect time to hit the beach, find a cool vacation spot, and eat a lot of ice cream!
I put together this outfit very recently and I’m OBSESSED. It’s perfect for city life, going out, or having a summer get-together!
My halter bodysuit is from Hollister and I got it for around $8. It was on sale when I got it and they don’t have it in stores anymore, but I pulled a couple other options for white bodysuits with different backings that you can check out!
I got my jeans 2 years ago from this cute shop where I live called Urban Found. (It’s a West Michigan store, so if you live in the mitten I definitely recommend since they have really cute and affordable jeans like these. GUESS WHAT THOUGH? I found the same pants on Amazon so you should definitely check them out.
Lastly, my loafers are from Nordstrom Rack and they’re the brand Sam Edelman. I LOVE a good pair of white shoes, especially with the studs. Nordstrom Rack has Sam Edelman shoes for much cheaper then they are on the original website, so I highly suggest checking Nordstrom first. I’ve linked multiple options (some white and some not) below for you to pair with this outfit.
I hope you’re inspired for your next summer day in the city or out and about!
Hey guys! Michigan is finally heating up, thank goodness! I’m so ready to grab my beach blanket and tan by the lake all day!
I’ve been looking for simple but cute summer outfits that don’t require a lot of thought. I’m definitely more of an autumn fashion gal so I needed to up my wardrobe game for the summer! This outfit is really affordable and you can wear it just about anywhere this summer!
My top is from American Eagle. It’s now on sale and SUPER CHEAP and it’s one of my favorite tops I own! I love high neck pieces and a denim top is so different than anything I have in my closet. (It’s also not that pricy even when it’s not on sale.)
My shorts are from Old Navy and I bought them last summer. They have the exact same style of mine in a different color for this season. I also found a pair of shorts from American Eagle with the same color as the ones I’m wearing, but a high waist instead. Both are super cute options to pair with the top!
Lastly, my shoes are from Eastland Shoes. Honestly, I like this brand way more than Birkenstocks. I have pretty wide feet and even Birkenstocks are way too wide for me. Eastland’s fit super well on my feet and the bottoms are made of memory foam so they’re SUPER comfy. They’re also way more affordable than Birkenstocks and in my opinion, better quality.
I can’t wait to share more with you as the summer moves along. As always, thanks for reading and enjoy the beautiful weather!
Hello everyone, happy June! I’m so glad to be back and writing. First thing on the list: rompers.
I love any kind of romper because they are so easy to wear and a simple, cute outfit idea. The vintage t-shirt ones especially are what have been inspiring me lately. Although my romper is from Urban Outfitters, it’s from last summer’s season. But don’t fret, because I’ve found so many cute rompers for you to look at!
I’ve pulled rompers from Modcloth, Madewell, and Anthropologie for you to check out. These are my colorful and fun picks for the summer season! I hope one of these ones ends up being your favorite. 🙂
If I could wear anything the rest of my days, it would definitely be a jumpsuit. Regardless of how much I try to branch off, I’m always drawn to them because they are so cute and easy to wear! I’ve been looking for some jumpsuit ideas for the summer and these are on my wish list!
This gem is from Showpo. I love how fitted it is on the top and how simple it is. The ruffles are so cute on the shoulders! Not to mention, the back is so cute!
Nasty Gal has such cute suits! This one reminds me so much of the 70’s and I love the color! Plus the belt is a nice accessory.
I’m loving this Princess Polly jumpsuit. It’s a great non-white neutral and the half calf length is a great cut.
As you all know, I’m slightly obsessed with Madewell… and this jumpsuit is so cozy! I love the material it’s made out of and it’s definitely a clothing type you could wear in the late Spring/Summer/Early Fall.
Lastly, this jumpsuit from Topshop is so fun! I love how you can decide to layer it or not. The lacy texture makes it so interesting and the color works well with any neutral.
Those are all my picks for now! I love each of these places for online shopping because they are so funky and artistic. As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an incredible day!
Hello I’m finally back! It’s been a busy week… finals are here and I have six more days of undergrad… yikes! Thankfully the lack of classes gives me some time to catch up on a little writing!
This is one of my favorite outfits of that I’ve put together for the Spring. It’s so casual and easily cute at the same time. I have worn it so much already and I’ve only had it together for a month!
My top is from Free People and I LOVE the texture. This olive/brown color is a weird color that works well with my skin tone and it’s honestly one of my favorite colors. I got it at JB & Me, but you can get in other colors online (they were out of green:( ).
My jeans are from The Gap Outlets, and I love how stretchy and comfy they are! I wear them with so many different outfits and they are a great basic piece to have in your closet.
Lastly, my shoes are from Nordstrom Rack and they are the brand Sam Elderman. I’ve been looking for funky white loafers and I was so pumped when I saw these!
That’s all I’ve got for today folks! For all you college kids, I’m sending lots of encouragement your way! This is a stressful time of the year, but I know you can do it!
Hello everyone, it’s finally spring! It feels surreal to walk around without a coat on. It’s so beautiful out that I’ve had the urge to go to the beach and get ice cream multiple times this week, can’t deny it any longer!
With warmer weather comes lots of Spring fashion! This is one of my favorite outfits I wore in New Orleans. It was super comfortable and I was able to wear it while I took a cemetery tour and walk all over the French Quarter! It had the perfect lightness to keep me cool, but just enough protection from getting too much sun.
My top is a passed on vintage blouse from my aunt. It’s 100% silk and I absolutely love it because it’s so soft and light! The colors are super fun as well. It kind of reminds me of Dr. Facilier from The Princess and the Frog!
My tank top is also passed on vintage from my aunt, but I found a very similar version on Lulus that I love! (It’s Free People, of course.)
My jeans are from the Gap Outlet, and they are so stretchy and comfy. The high waist is such a cute look with a longer shirt or with something you can partially tuck in.
I got my sunglasses from The Trashy Diva, a vintage inspired boutique store in the French Quarter. I loved their glasses and I had to get this pair!
Lastly, my shoes are the brand Sam Elderman and I got them from Nordstrom Rack! Nordstrom’s shoes are always so cute and I could honestly spend hours in there trying things on! If you ever need a new pair of shoes before you go on vacation, Nordstrom Rack is the place to look.
I’ve linked very similar clothing pieces at the bottom to get the same look as the one I’ve put together in my post.
I hope you enjoy this beautiful spring weather and you’re looking forward to summer as much as I am! Have an incredible day!
Hey it’s ya girl, back on the fashion grind! This was one of my fave outfits to wear in New Orleans because it was the perfect mixture of casual, funky, and classy. Not only did it check off all my fashion requirements, but it was so comfy! I found my jeans at Urban Found, which is a smaller West Michigan company, but I found a similar pair from Free People here that I think is so so cute!
My top is from Madewell (where else do I shop?) but I bought it at Nordstrom Rack. Nordstrom Rack has had some great Madewell tops and pants lately, so I definitely recommend checking it out.
My shoes are from Old Navy and I LOVE them! I’ve been looking for chunky sandals like this for awhile and these were exactly what I was looking for! Honestly, I’ve never shopped much at Old Navy, but their spring and summer pieces are very fun, hip, and artsy. Not to mention, it’s very reasonably priced.
As always, I hope you had fun checking this outfit out and I’m so pumped for the warm weather to reach the north! Hang in there, it’s coming!
