I’m convinced that 75% of my winter wardrobe is mock turtlenecks… I think I have a problem. (A good problem!)
I got this adorable mock turtleneck from Madewell. Of course, we all know the quality is incredible! It’s so warm, not itchy, and the tortoise-shell buttons are such a cute detail for the sides! Sadly they don’t have this color left on the website, but they may still have them in stores. If not, I would definitely check out these close cousins of my sweater from Free People, Forever 21, and the navy blue version of my sweater from Madewell.
My jeans are from Free People! They are super stretchy and comfortable, and I love the high waist. Free People’s denim is high quality and always keeps its shape. My Urban Found earrings are a perfect detail to add on and give the outfit a nice, metallic flare!
Last but not least, I’m in LOVE with these boots! They’re from Mango, which is now probably one of my favorite companies to buy shoes from. They’re high quality leather and so comfortable for their height. Sadly they sold out of the boots I’m wearing, but I found a very close replica of them on Sam Edelman, which is another one of my favorite shoe brands! They always have extremely comfortable shoes that are funky and high quality.
Because it’s after Christmas, all of these companies are having their after Christmas sales! I would highly recommend swinging by these websites to check out what they have on sale.
I don’t know about you, but I’m gonna go spend some time with my fam and eat some home-made cheesecake! Christmastime is for being with family, am I right??? I hope you’re having a wonderful Christmas season and as always, thank you for reading!
Hello everyone, happy June! I’m so glad to be back and writing. First thing on the list: rompers.
I love any kind of romper because they are so easy to wear and a simple, cute outfit idea. The vintage t-shirt ones especially are what have been inspiring me lately. Although my romper is from Urban Outfitters, it’s from last summer’s season. But don’t fret, because I’ve found so many cute rompers for you to look at!
I’ve pulled rompers from Modcloth, Madewell, and Anthropologie for you to check out. These are my colorful and fun picks for the summer season! I hope one of these ones ends up being your favorite. 🙂
If I could wear anything the rest of my days, it would definitely be a jumpsuit. Regardless of how much I try to branch off, I’m always drawn to them because they are so cute and easy to wear! I’ve been looking for some jumpsuit ideas for the summer and these are on my wish list!
This gem is from Showpo. I love how fitted it is on the top and how simple it is. The ruffles are so cute on the shoulders! Not to mention, the back is so cute!
Nasty Gal has such cute suits! This one reminds me so much of the 70’s and I love the color! Plus the belt is a nice accessory.
I’m loving this Princess Polly jumpsuit. It’s a great non-white neutral and the half calf length is a great cut.
As you all know, I’m slightly obsessed with Madewell… and this jumpsuit is so cozy! I love the material it’s made out of and it’s definitely a clothing type you could wear in the late Spring/Summer/Early Fall.
Lastly, this jumpsuit from Topshop is so fun! I love how you can decide to layer it or not. The lacy texture makes it so interesting and the color works well with any neutral.
Those are all my picks for now! I love each of these places for online shopping because they are so funky and artistic. As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an incredible day!
Hey it’s ya girl, back on the fashion grind! This was one of my fave outfits to wear in New Orleans because it was the perfect mixture of casual, funky, and classy. Not only did it check off all my fashion requirements, but it was so comfy! I found my jeans at Urban Found, which is a smaller West Michigan company, but I found a similar pair from Free People here that I think is so so cute!
My top is from Madewell (where else do I shop?) but I bought it at Nordstrom Rack. Nordstrom Rack has had some great Madewell tops and pants lately, so I definitely recommend checking it out.
My shoes are from Old Navy and I LOVE them! I’ve been looking for chunky sandals like this for awhile and these were exactly what I was looking for! Honestly, I’ve never shopped much at Old Navy, but their spring and summer pieces are very fun, hip, and artsy. Not to mention, it’s very reasonably priced.
As always, I hope you had fun checking this outfit out and I’m so pumped for the warm weather to reach the north! Hang in there, it’s coming!
With the sun finally out, I can finally attest that Spring is here! I’m so excited to put away my parka and put on a sweater instead! I leave for Spring Break in just a couple of days and I cannot wait to get off of campus.
To be honest, when these pictures were taken, I was absolutely FREEZING. We had a snow storm and there was over a foot of snow on the ground. Thankfully, this outfit is perfect for the awkward transition into the spring season. As much as I loved walking in a winter wonderland, I’m so ready for the flowers to bloom!
My top is from Madewell. It can be dressed up or down which is super helpful and I’ve worn it for multiple occasions. It’s got a really interesting texture to it as well. The simple tie is so cute and adds a little bit of detail to the outfit.
My jeans are from American Eagle. They’re jeggings and they don’t have the exact dark blue ones that I have on, but they are always creating different colored jeggings! I’ve linked a similar style below.
My earrings are from a cute boutique store called Spring Sweet, and although I haven’t found any online, I’ve been a huge fan of the wooden earring trend and I linked some cute wooden earrings below.
Lastly, I got my boots from Nordstrom Rack a very long time ago, but I also linked a similar pair below that I love from them as well. Ironically enough, I bought those boots for $1 at Nordstrom Rack because they had a broken zipper, then I took them to a tailor and got them fixed for $5! They were originally $100 so I’m really thankful for that tailor. 🙂
I hope everyone has a wonderful day filled with sunshine and the hope of warmer weather approaching! And if you’re going on spring break, where are you going? Let me know below in the comments!
Yay, I am so glad to be back and writing about fashion again! My life has been SUPER crazy in the mixture of auditions and performances, and it feels good to have a bit of down time now.
I pulled out my thermal shirt because I love the texture of it, and it’s great to layer under sweaters or anything bulky! This thermal in particular is fun because of it’s bell sleeves and it flows a lot, making it so comfy to wear! My top is from Free People, and I got it from Nordstrom Rack, but they still have it in other stores too!
My bralette is from Aerie, and it is SO comfortable and affordable! They look so cute under basically any top. I love Aerie bralettes and the company in general because they support women of every race, body type, and include beautiful ladies in wheel chairs. I love supporting companies that support everyone, not just the stereotypical model.
My pants are from Francesca’s, but they are out of stock. I love the look of these pants, but in all honesty they’re not super stretchy besides the waist, which overstretched and won’t go back to where it was. I linked a pair of American Eagle camo pants I found because they’re soooo cute, on sale, and American Eagle jeans are so stretchy and always stay in the same size they were made.
My shoes are from the brand Wolverine. I got them at Nordstrom Rack which sells discounted Wolverine boots from time to time because they are initially very expensive. They don’t have the boots I bought anymore, but I’ve linked a similar pair from DSW below that are just as cute!
My earrings were a gift from my birthday, but you can find gold hoop earrings just about anywhere! Personally, I love Madewell jewelry so I linked their hoop earrings at the bottom because they are SO cute!
Lastly, my necklace is from Lucky Brand, but I got them when TJ Maxx was selling their jewelry for a short period of time. I found a beautiful feather necklace on Etsy that’s even more affordable than mine and is so pretty.
As always, I hope you have a wonderful day, stay warm, and cross your fingers for Spring weather to come soon!
It is absolutely awful out! In Michigan, there’s a -42 windchill set for tomorrow, so thank goodness my school decided to cancel class and activities for tomorrow! It gives me the chance to catch up on some much needed rest, reflection, and chill time. Despite the terrible weather, I’ve had so much fun this past month pulling some outfits together. This one is definitely one of my favorites that I’ve put together!
My top is from Madewell. It was on sale when I bought it and I was overjoyed! I love the details on the arms and the bottom of the shirt. Plus, I’m a sucker for velvet and the color is so flattering on anyone (even on sad, pale people like myself)! It’s also a rare in-between kind of shirt where you could dress it up or down depending on what you’re wearing it for. It’s perfect for going out, a business interview, audition, or even a fun everyday top!
My pants are from Topshop. I had been eyeing them for awhile in Nordstrom because I thought they were the cutest. Thankfully, they went on sale and then I had a gift card. The detailing is so fun and I love that the colors are all neutrals. The silver brings such a fun pop to the outfit. I wear them all the time!
My boots are from Clarks! I’ve mentioned them so many times before, but I’ve worn them almost every day since I’ve gotten them. They’re really durable and for people who have wide feet, they’re so comfortable. They also have great arch support. I’ve worn them all over Chicago for a day and didn’t feel any pain in my feet. Plus, they’re so classic!
That’s all I have for today. I’m gonna make myself some hot chocolate tonight and get a lot of sleep. Stay warm out there and bundle up! You’re going to need it!
One of my favorite kinds of clothing to wear are jumpsuits, but it’s so sad when they go out of season. Never fear, there are ways to keep your jumpsuits around for the winter season!
My favorite jumpsuit is from Spring Sweet, and I love it because it’s classic, yet feels like I am wearing pajama pants! I paired it with one of my basic turtlenecks and put a pair of tights underneath it to keep warm in this chilly weather! I’ve linked two jumpsuits at the bottom of this article that are so cute and almost identical to the one I have.
It’s really easy to find some cute basics to put underneath a jumpsuit, and I found my turtleneck at Aeropostale. My favorite affordable and cute turtlenecks are also linked below.
Although my jumpsuit was originally purchased for the summer, the neutral tones definitely help my outfit mix into the winter season.
As always, thank you so much for reading! I love finding new ways to wear fun pieces, as fashion with a college budget can be difficult!
I love going into Chicago to spend time with people I care about! My school does a Chicago trip once every year where you can spend the entire day in the city to explore and it’s always so fun. This year I decided to put the perfect outfit together to do a little sight seeing!
My jeans are from the Gap Outlets and are wonderful to wear with most of my outfits, but you can find a similar pair for a good price at H&M and ASOS.
I got my ankle boots from TJ Maxx and they’re from the brand Clarks. The most similar pair of shoes I’ve found is from DSW and the shoes are Lucky Brand! They are so cute and you could wear them with anything!
My necklace is also from Spring Sweet and although they don’t have it on their website, I found a cute second option from Madewell that’s simple and classy.
Lastly, my beret is from a New York City street vendor when I was 11 years old! I haven’t worn this beret in years but as berets have come back in style, I dug it out from the bottom of my closet! You can find berets just about anywhere, and some of my favorites are from Free People and Madewell.
I had such a fun time feeling chic and walking through the city! Luckily it was such a beautiful day out that I barely needed my jacket to enjoy the city!
Hello everyone! Thank you for being patient with me for a bit as I go through some craziness of beginning my SENIOR year!!! Wow! A tiny life update: my roommate/best friend and I changed from on-campus housing to off-campus at the last second so we’ve been couch hopping for a couple days now! Woo hoo! More details on that to come. Luckily I still managed to pull some sort of outfit out of my duffle bag for my last first day! Groovy!
My top is from the Gap outlets. You can get a basic v-neck just about anywhere but I found a very affordable top from Forever 21 which is linked here.
I got my skort from a store called Gliks. I love that it looks like a cute skirt in the front but are high waisted shorts in the back. They’re fun and slightly dressy with stretchy denim to make them very comfortable. It’s currently 50% off and very affordable so go check it out!
My necktie is from Madewell and it’s linked here. I love that it gives a little bit of funk to the entire outfit.
Lastly, my shoes are from Clarks. I haven’t really been drawn to Clarks in the past because they usually have shoes tailored towards middle aged to older adults but I love these wedges so much! They’re leather and have rubber heals which is great for walking in for long periods of time. Those are linked right here. (I added a photo because they weren’t seen well in my first one haha whoops.)
That’s all folks! Cheers to September coming soon, a new school year, or to whatever new adventures you may be diving into! I hope you enjoyed today’s #ootd! xo, Brynne
